Amine Alghozzi is an author in Arabic and Tunisian dialect. He has directed two short films as part of the Tunisian Federation of Amateur Filmmakers: Tableau noir (2004) and Vies croisées (2005). He wrote several poems; the best known being My Word is Free (2006). He published a collection of short stories The Shadow of a Demon on My Background in 2013. His first novel, Zendali,on the night of 14 January 2011 won the 2021 European Union Prize for Literature.
