Elisabeth Daldoul grew up in Dakar, before studying audiovisual in Paris.After working as a journalist-reporter for Radio-France Internationale, she moved to Tunis. She will be successively bookseller and teacher. In 2005, she founded Elyzad, a publishing house specializing in fiction literature, with texts that go from Mauritania to Palestine and cross the Mediterranean “to make the imagination dialogue”. Several works in the Elyzad catalogue have won literary prizes in Tunisia, France, Italy and India. Among them, the Goncourt of the First Novel 2021 attributed to Que sur toi lamente le Tigre by the French Emilienne Malfatto. Or the Prix des Cinq Continents de la francophonie, awarded to Tunisian Yamen Manai for his novel L’amas ardent. The Alioune Diop Prize for African Publishing was awarded to Elyzad Editions.
