Girma T. Fantaye, is based in Addis Ababa. He is one of the founders of Ethiopia's main political weekly, Addis Neger, which is closed under pressure from the government. In 2013, he published a collection of poems, Yetefachewun Ketema Hasesa (The Quest for the Lost City) and then, in 2014, a first novel Self Meda. He is currently working on a second novel in Amharic.
