Osvalde Lewat was born in Garoua, Cameroon. As an art photographer and documentary filmmaker, she is particularly interested in social and political issues. His works, broadcast in many countries around the world, have received several international awards, including the Golden Tanit in Carthage (Tunisia), the Bronze Stallion at the Pan-African Film and Television Festival (Fespaco) in Ouagadougou (Cameroon) and the prestigious Peabody Award in the United States. His first novel, Les Aquatiques,will be published in 2021 (Les Escales).
