Willy Mouélé – known as "Zekid" – is a press cartoonist, screenwriter and multimedia graphic designer. One of the pioneers of comics in Congo, he collaborates with the weekly Gbich!. Some of his works have been adapted into television series. In France, he became familiar with new communication and information technologies, while trying his hand at writing. In 2011, his first autobiographical novel, The Seal of the Angel (The Book Edition), was published. He is a member of Cartooning for Peace, an international network of committed cartoonists who fight, with humour, for the respect of cultures and freedoms. An association created in 2006 by Kofi Annan (then Secretary-General of the UN) and the cartoonist Jean Plantu.
