Nadia Khiari is a visual arts teacher, painter and press cartoonist. She created the character of Willis from Tunis during the Tunisian revolution in January 2011. This character, mischievous and mocking cat, chronicles the news of his country but also the international news on social networks, for Siné Mensuel and Courrier international. He has been the subject of several albums, including Willis from Tunis. 10 years old and still alive! (Elyzad, 2020). Nadia Khiari holds an honorary doctorate from the Université Libre de Liège. She has also received several distinctions, including the Honoré Daumier prize in Caen (2012), the "Couilles au cul" prize at the OFF of OFF festival in Angoulême (2016), the Sokol prize awarded by the Krems Caricature Museum (2018). She is a member of Cartooning for Peace.
